I keep updating the headline and the tagline to this site.  I just started the habit of looking at the headline and tagline before starting a post.  With the headline and the tagline in mind, I’m going to write these posts.

This post is designed to help you grow.  Both personally and professionally.  It’s also designed to show you that blogging is the best way to grow personally and professionally.  Let me show you.

2 Years Experience Blogging

I’ve been blogging here at JesseCreel.com for 2 years now.  I’ll admit, at first I was blogging about triumphs over personal problems like schizophrenia.  I think that can be a little scary for Google to embrace, as I had trouble getting Adsense on my site in the early stages.  I wasn’t approved.  I tried again, after making my site about the business of blogging, with lots of fresh posts about email marketing and how literally anyone could get in the game and build a work from home business.  I had success and was approved for Adsense.

Adsense is my only form of monetization for this site, as of 5/20/2018.  I definitely have plans to expand into other forms of monetization but for now I’m just writing for practice.  I want to further hone my craft.  I’ve already written 143 posts, some of them good length posts.  Really, I have to do a lot better than 143 if I really want to get my writing up to speed.  Makes me think I really should be blogging daily.  Admittedly, my speed is slow.

I do however get the work done.  Week by week.  I’m going to get my post count up and then see where my Adsense earning are.  I plan to do a post when I get my first payout of $100.  It’s really too early  to predict where my lifetime blog earnings are going to land.  I’m will say though that I’m going to plant the seeds on the internet, and let God take care of the rest.

I have 2 years experience blogging, and I can tell you it’s been a slow ride.  If you are a blogger you know what I’m talking about.  All you can do is hone your craft and pray something sticks.  I can tell you how to do it slowly.

10 Thick Spiral Bound Notebooks Filled

I am almost at a completed 10 journals.  At 300 pages per journal that’s 3,000 pages of journal entries.  You could say I’ve been practicing for years.  A lot of it is about personal development.  It’s about quitting smoking and drinking.  It’s about exercising.  It’s about building a business.  It’s about personal struggles with questions on how I can solve the problems.  So far it’s landed me an income of over $1,000 a month.  That’s after taxes.  My personal development is working for me.  It’s an even more powerful statement when you consider that I’m a schizophrenic who has held a part time job for over 2 years now.  I’m working, I’m paying taxes, contributing to society, raising a family (with the help of my darling wife), I’m journaling my personal development, I’m blogging, I’m playing rock and roll blues songs, I’m writing poetry, and I’m keeping up with the housework.  I do all these things and I pay my credit card bill down slowly over time.  After the credit card bill I will be working on the mortgage and time keeps ticking and I still don’t have a 401K plan for my retirement.  I’m not worried because I’m not the one in control.  God is in control.  If I make righteous choices God is going to take care of me.  Not to mention my family of a wife and two kids.  Not to mention the rest of my family like parents, brother, and inlaws.  Not to mention my friends and the rest of the world.

Sometimes my blog posts get into talking like I was talking to the Lord, and I’m not going to run from me.

I’ve written all kinds of letters to myself and to God.  I have a relationship with God.  It’s in my journals.

I’ve written 10 journals so far and I’m still writing today.  Just the sheer volume of work speaks.  I love the directions it takes me.

Why Blogging?

So I’ve written all these journals.  Why not just keep journaling and hone the craft of writing that way?

I’ll tell you.  It’s because it’s not public.

When it’s out in the public something changes.  You change.  And you change more than if you were keeping it all to yourself.  You learn to not just write for yourself, but to write for an audience.  You start asking yourself the questions “what problems can I solve for my audience?” and “What are my audience’s pain points?”.

Then you come up with a solution that will help your audience.

For me my audience is people who want to develop personally and professionally, especially when they are facing other challenges in their life that have nothing to do with work.  When a schizophrenic can make over $1,000 a month every month for 2 years running he’s doing something good, and you might be able to learn something.

But with my job I’ve only just begun.  The job is just a springboard for the blog, giving me what I need every month to maintain a business, keep my doors open, and plant seeds regularly in the hopes for a harvest.  I realize earning an income from blogging takes time, and that’s all right with me.  I am in it for the long haul and plan to do it for as long as 10 years to get it right.  To take it a step further, as long as no one stops me, I’m going to be living and blogging to 100.  In other words my work is in it’s infancy and I’ve already made more than half a dollar.  Just imagine what my (and your) blog could look like in 10 years if we’ve stuck with it regularly.  It could be an empire of posts!  Wouldn’t it feel good to know you’ve accomplished massive public works that potentially the whole world could see and learn from.  Wouldn’t it make you feel good that you did that?  I revel in my 2 years of blogging, my $.58, my 143 posts, and my 400 visitors a month.  Now I just work to better my results.

It’s incredibly fun blogging.  Seeing the results and adjusting your efforts so that they become more of what you want.  YOU become more of what you want to be.  That’s the power of blogging.  You become more of you and you want to do it your way, don’t you?

So blog.

If you want to take it the next logical step and build a business then:

Build An Email List

If you’ve done any research at all into how to make money with a blog then you’ll already know that “the money is in the list”.  By people giving you their email address you are getting intimate access to them.  They want more of what you have.  They are your potential customers.  If you want to make money with your blog you are going to have to have customers. The best way to get in touch with potential customers is to collect their email addresses and mail them your work and your offers.  On that note, it’s never to early to sell to them.  I only have 18 subscribers as of today and I’m already selling to them.  It’s good practice for when you have a bigger list with more potential buyers.  It’s good to get comfortable with potentially collecting money from your list.  A good way to do that is to start selling.

Again my blog is in it’s infancy, and I’m really only selling one affiliate product at this point.  It’s an email list provider called Convertkit.  When you have a blog and want to start an email list, I’m your man.  Apart from the service itself, I have found Convertkit to have a helpful blog, and that the extra bonuses they offer members really goes the extra mile to help you convert your subscribers into raving super customers.

If you want to talk about growing, growing an email list is a very exciting (although slow in the beginning) adventure.  Nurturing your list is also exciting as you get to further your people and sales skills and potentially increase your income.  This also goes with furthering your ability to solve problems for your audience, really the most important part in the equation of earning money with your blog.

As you build an email list you grow personally and professionally.  You refine your personal life so you get better results in your professional life.  You build your list and then nurture a relationship with them.  When your blogging, the older you get, the better your blog becomes.  It’s fulfilling when you know that the post you send your list today is going to be better then the post you sent out a week ago.   Not to mention that all this personal and professional development could lead to the lifestyle you want to live.  I know that so far for me, personal development has taken me leaps and bounds further along the road to success, and there is no end in sight.  Don’t you want a business in your life where the sun never sets?

How To Blog 6 Days A Week For A Month

I think it comes down to just doing it.

That’s what I did.  The posts are up here for you to read.

And I love it.

I love writing.

It helps me grow.

And that’s immediate.

That’s an immediate return on investment.

The investment being time, and the money it takes to host this blog.

So I think it’s worth it.

Plus you never know, I might be able to get a 6 figure business out of this website before it’s said and done.

I might sell the Empower Network to my list once it gets big enough.

That depends on what I think of the Empower Network at the time.  It might be something else.

Or I’ll just sell my ebooks to my customers and learn how to profit starting small.

If I do well with ebooks I might get into making other products.  Information products.

I would probably get a lot of complaints though, if the comments are any indication of how I’m doing.

Today I had over 20 new comments.  A couple good a couple bad and the rest spam.

Still, I am inspiring people to take action and leave a comment.

So anyways, if you want to write everyday for a month, go for it.  But don’t forget to take one day off a week.  It will be good for you.  Even God took one day off.

For me today is a day of rest.  I’m going over to a friends for lunch and beers.  I have to drive so  I won’t be drinking like I do at home, but I’m going to wrap up my drinking today and get back to work tomorrow and make my money.

I’m also going to try and quit cigarettes again.

God help me.

Though part of me does think I might be better off smoking.

And part of me, the better part of me thinks I should give it up.

I think I might go sober and smoke free and THEN play the lottery to win the jackpot.  I might get better results.

I might get the result of winning the jackpot.

I had a dream that my Uncle, one who never comes around, who used to smoke and drink and gave it up, he gave me a lottery ticket.  In the dream I thought it was the winner.  Maybe the dream is telling me that in order to win I have to give up drinking and smoking.

I don’t know.

All I know is that so far I’ve been drinking and smoking and haven’t won, so maybe it’s time to try something else.

I also know that I love writing.

I love writing down my adventures of work, the lottery, blogging, family life, income, and everything about my day.

The best part is that maybe if I put out some really valuable stuff then I might be able to make a living off of my writing.  I’ll just have to see.

My friend has finished his editing of my first ebook “Take Action and Improve!”

I’m going to try and pick it up from him today.  I have another day off on Friday so I think I’ll use that time to re write my book.  It might take me longer than a day, but with my enthusiasm, I’ll probably work on it all day.

Because I’m really excited about making this website better.  I want to get my picture on the top of it so you can see me.  I also want to give my ebook away for free to my email subscribers.  That’s in the works.

But I’m very excited about working.  I love working on myself and my website.  It gives me something to do with my free time that makes me feel like I’m making progress in life.  It’s rewarding.

But it’s not easy.  Especially when your trying to put out 2,000 quality words everyday.

Some would say my content is not quality, but I say there’s value in there.  I believe in my work.  I think that by selling people on reading about my life, they are benefiting.  And I think the benefit is entertainment.

Not to mention a few gold nuggets of information in there as well.

And really I’ve got to keep reading.  I want to become MORE valuable.  And I think that can be done by reading.  So really, YOU are making yourself more valuable by reading this.

And I’m here to tell you you can blog for 6 days a week.

I’m going for 90 days of blogging 6 days a week.  I have two more months to go.  By the end of it, I’ll have a lot more content on this website.  And I will have grown.

Keep checking back to see if I’ve quit smoking and drinking yet.

That’s a work in progress.

If figure I’ll be a lot better as a sober, non smoker, runner.

But if you want to blog 6 days a week.  Get ready.  People will screw with you and tell you you suck.  Haters.  Just gotta keep playing to win.

But I’m not worried because I’m getting better by the day.  My writing is improving and I’m becoming better.  A better storyteller.

I’ve been thinking of writing something fictional.  Something about the workplace.

The drama of the bosses and the workers.  And the customers.

Maybe I’ll write a fiction about a marriage.

Loosely base it on my own marriage, after all people, we are supposed to be writing what we know.

I don’t always do that, please forgive me.

I’ll try to do better.  And write what I know.

And I do know how to blog for 6 days a week.

I’m into my second month doing it.

There will probably be plenty more of this to come as well.  The 90 day periods of blogging over the next 8 years.  Even if I only did one a year I would have a lot of content by the end of that 8 years.  And I would also most likely be a lot better writer.

And if your going to blog for 6 days a week, a good way to look at it is you have got to make time for it.  Everyday.  No matter how your day was at work.  6 or 9 hours.  Both days you have to blog.  You’ve got make time to do it.

And it’s even harder when you have a family to be a mom or a dad to.  And a spouse you have to be a spouse for.

But I figured out how to do it, so there’s no excuses.  You can do it too.

I aim to be helpful.

All I need now is a list with 150,000 people on it.

Then I could make money off this website.

Launch with 150,000 people on your list.  Your bound to make some money.

Maybe you could quit your job.

But that’s not the point for me.  I might even keep my job.  To keep the income.  I don’t want to get out of where I am now.  I just want to make it better.

And my life would be better if I had a list.

That would be an accomplishment.

So I’m writing with the goal of people reading it and then getting on my email list to get more of my stuff.

And it is HOT stuff.

The comments say so.

So I just gotta keep cooking up the good stuff and try quitting cigarettes and alcohol to make my life better.

It would also help if I won the lottery.

The jackpot tonight is for 130 million dollars dollars.

I already have two tickets.  I bought them yesterday.

I journal about winning the jackpot.  I’ve done a lot of that in the past, and I still do it.  I did it today.

I ask myself the question how?

How do I win the jackpot?

Last night the answer was prayer and meditation.  I did both and I didn’t win the Mega Millions last night.  I think I’m going to journal more and keep asking myself the question how do I.

I could probably put my focus on something else, like how do I sell e books?

But the lottery is a lot of fun and you could turn into a multi millionaire overnight.

Although part of me does think it’s a bad idea to suddenly have millions of dollars.

I guess I haven’t worked it out with my subconscious yet.

But I’m working on changing that.

I want it to feel good to win, and for it to be a good thing that I won.

And I think it will feel that way with anything I do.

On the other hand sometimes you have to do things when you don’t feel like doing them, and it’s worth it to do them in those times.

So maybe having reservations about winning and then playing anyways isn’t a bad thing.  It’s just me doing what I MUST do.  Which is to find a way to make a better life for my family.

Granted the lottery is only one way you can get what you need.  There are many other ways, one after the other, always coming at you, for you to be a success and receive income.

This is what I blog about.

What do you think you would blog about?

Just a question to get your mind working on how you could improve your life.

Maybe leave a comment in answer to that question.

Be a part of the community here on JesseCreel.com.

But I feel strong and able to accomplish what I need to do.

And what I need to do is write this blog.

You can have subscribers or even readers if you don’t write.

And I figure if you want to be world class at something you have got to start with what you’ve got.

And I’ve got an hourly sales job.

I can write about that!

And if I clean up my life and live in balance, I’m sure I could get a good commission sales job and clean up on income.

And then I would be writing about success in commission sales!

And that would be even more worth reading.

I can see it now.  Going from $20,000.00 a year to $100,000.00 a year.

How to grow your income by $80,000.00 would be the blog post.

I definitely think I should be reading more.

If I got my life into balance I’m sure I would read more.

All the bad habits gone.  Replaced by good habits that serve to earn me more money.

And I can see it now, lottery jackpot winner.

I could write a book about my methods of getting there.

To winning the jackpot.

That would be great.

And it would be even better if I could win 2 or 3 different jackpots.

Then I would really have a story on my hands.

I don’t think anyone has ever won more than one jackpot in their lifetime.

So I would be breaking new ground.

It’s possible.

Anything is possible.

I dream big.

But I can say investing my time and money into this website is more important than buying lottery tickets.  I’m an entrepreneur first, then a lottery winner.

At least that’s my estimation of myself.

I’m more than that, I’m a worker, a family man, a salesman, a rock and roller, a writer, a poet, a composer, a listener, a neighbor, a friend.

I’m a lot of things.  I’m working on being a hero.  For my family and for the world.

And if things go according to plan, and I make money off of this website, then I will be a hero.

I will be able to say I’ve made it.  I designed it.  I live the life I want to live.  I create and people consume.  The world is a better place because of what I do.  That’s my goal.  That’s what I’m striving for.

And I think we can make this world a better place together, by blogging and working and taking care of our families, and being the best friends we can be.  And all the good things of life.  We can make that for ourselves and for others.  And be a light in the darkness.

Thanks for reading.  Take good care of yourself,

Jesse Creel

Selling and Getting 20 Dollars An Hour

Because that’s what I got paid to do it today.  11 dollars hourly for 4 hours, and 35 dollars in mileage.  You figure I spent some gas driving, but 35 dollars more than pays for that.  But you figure I made 44 dollars hourly and the 35 comes to 79 dollars for 4 hours, that’s almost 20 dollars an hour!

This is why I recommend hourly sales jobs.  I landed one, as jobs have in the past just fell in my lap… able to get promoted just because they needed someone to do the job.  More skills, more money.  That’s part of where the voices come in though.

It’s not bad, or as bad as I’ve heard before, but I’ve been getting some.  The voices call it bad energy.  Maybe it’s from living the way I do, with the drinking and the smoking, and the coffee.  I really need to quit the drinking and the smoking though… something I’m working on.

But I ended up landing 3 deals last week, and they’ve sent me out on two more days this week.  Tomorrow will be my third and final sales calls of the week.  For the last day of the week, until the weekend when I have two days off, I’ll be working in the store.  Cutting the meat, cutting the bones, and helping the customers.  There’s more to it than that, but working in the store is easy compared to the sales calls.

The sales calls are a lot more fun though.  You get told no sometimes but most people are welcome to get two free box lunches.  I really have the easiest sales job I’ve ever had because my product is food and they give me samples to give to the prospects.  And who doesn’t want free food!

But I really recommend an hourly sales job for those suffering from schizophrenia, because really, their going to get paid either way!  It takes all the pressure off the sale.  There’s no money involved in the human interaction when I drop off a free lunch.  So if you hear voices that tell you your a bad human being, it’s a lot easier to sell when you know that it’s all up to God… and you can probably go back to working in the store if it doesn’t work out.  That is, as long as you stay reliable.

Along with being a salesperson, and working in the store, I also drive the box truck on the holidays to the Army base.  It’s a good gig because it gets me out of the store, and it requires me to move boxes around, which as a schizophrenic… some manual labor is good for me.  I also like sales because I get to walk around.

But really, it’s all up to God.  I get paid hourly and mileage for doing it, but they said that bonuses are on the way when I sell, so I could get paid even more!  But still, to work 4 hours and get paid 79 dollars is a good deal.  It could be better, but I am now recovering the wage I lost when I had a mental and emotional breakdown.  I lost my job that was paying me 18 dollars an hour, full time and I hadn’t recovered until I started this sales job.  Now I can get back to that wage I was earning, and have the possibility to earn even more.

And not just at my job.  I’m working on an e-book now… one that I’m going to write for an imaginary character in my head, John.

You can make a lot of money off e-books.  Pat Flynn of SmartPassiveIncome.com made 200,000 dollars off his e-book.  And he does a lot more than e-books.  He’s great, I recommend his email list.  He really gives value.  Click the link and check him out!

But to stick to the topic, this post is about making 20 dollars an hour as a salesperson.  And that doesn’t count bonuses!  It’s good work, and I’m happy to do it.  It makes a man out of me.  Now I just need to work on paying off my credit card and giving my wife more money.  But that’s a post I don’t want to write until I have a zero balance, and can pay at least half of the bills.

I could always win the lottery, that’s a possibility.  One that I’ve often entertained.  Often visualized about.  A while ago I picked the number 397 as a size jackpot I’d like to win.  It hasn’t come about yet, so I’m playing to win 310.  That’s the jackpot size tonight and seeing as I only really need 15 million to retire with a lifestyle of freedom, I’d be in pretty good shape.  And wouldn’t we all want that?  I hope that you and I both hit it, and we can split it.  I don’t need a 7 million dollar house.

As for the rest of those people out there that haven’t won yet, maybe there will come a time.  For a few of you, you will win the lottery.  I can’t say who, but you’ll win.

But that’s probably crazy talk.

I just think if your visualizations are strong enough, and you’ve done enough good in the world, and you pray and thank God… you can win the jackpot.

Because that’s the day in age we live in.  One can visualize their way to a jackpot!  And do good works!  I heard Matthew McConaughey say on a music award show that the more we are thankful for, the more there is to be thankful for.  And I believe that is the absolute truth.  So I’m thankful to God everyday, especially just for another day!  I am also thankful for many sales that I tell myself I have already made.  Even though I haven’t… I pray in the future tense.

And I have a set of prayer beads.  They really help me to know what I’m praying for.  Sometimes the prayer changes while I’m doing it.  It takes 108 repetitions to complete.  It’s really a great exercise.  I highly recommend prayer beads.  And I’ll let you know about any future successes in this sales job, where I am currently making money, so you can be inspired to act in your own life so that you can better enjoy the ride.

So for now that’s what I tell you.  Work!  Hard work, smarts, and dependability pay off.  They landed me a sales job where they bought me my own business cards, 4 shirts, and a jacket!  All starting at 8.75 an hour as a delivery driver.  Progress is possible!

And for the love of God, write a blog.  Improvement is the only thing that is possible with a blog.  As long as your really bringing value to a massive number of people.  So really the value here is that even if your schizophrenic, you can work a job, get promoted, and even sell 3 deals!  That’s exactly what I’ve done, and the future looks even brighter.  I hope to live to 100.

But God’s got his own ideas on what happens, and as far as I can tell you have to work hard, read books, and keep a journal.  That way you can research how your going to bring value to people.   And according to Tony Robbins, the way to long term wealth is to add value to a massive number of people.  So I believe that God does everything for me, and that he makes the sales, but I also believe in order to be deserving you have to be doing your part by learning.  And if you deserve it, you’ll get it.

I guess the question is how can we be deserving of one of those jackpots?

Here’s to us splitting it,

Jesse Creel

P.S.  I’ll let you know if I get any more sales.  Right now I have 3 to my name.  Thank God for sales.

P.P.S.  If you think me writing a book on sales, giving you my experience and advice, do you think it would go over well considering what you’ve read here?  Something for schizophrenics and those not, about sales, what it’s like, and how you can get there and make 3 sales doing it.  Leave a comment and let me know what you think, I am writing outlines for the book now, and would love to hear your feedback.  Thank you.
